The E30 has a strong reputation as a compact, no-nonsense DAC that measures well and stays popular on the used market. At US$55, this is a strong deal versus the typical used spread here: well below the US$70 25th percentile and comfortably under the US$88 median, so it reads as bargain-priced rather than merely fair.
What makes it appealing is straightforward performance: clean USB DAC duty, small footprint, and an easy fit in a desktop or secondary system. If it powers up cleanly and includes the right input cable or remote, it’s an easy buy at this price; the only real check is basic completeness and that it isn’t a hidden-issue return or abused unit.
