This is an ambitious ask, not a bargain: kr52,500 sits well above the kr38,674 75th percentile and far above the kr20,683 median for recent comparable SEK listings. Even allowing for the “Demoex” label, the premium is substantial, so this only makes sense if the speaker is exceptionally clean, fully complete, and from a trusted source.
That said, the Ultimatum XLS is a very serious small stand-mount: admired for timing, scale, bass authority, and a lively, spacious presentation that can make compact speakers sound much bigger than they are. If the pair is mint, with stands, boxes, and documented demo or dealer history, it will appeal to a buyer chasing the model rather than a bargain hunter; otherwise, the price leaves little room for compromise.

Neat Acoustics traces its roots to 1989, when musician Bob Surgeoner founded the company in northern England, drawing inspiration from his lifelong passion for genres like blues, rock, jazz, and folk. Originally named North Eastern Audio Traders—hence the acronym NEAT—the brand emerged from Surgeoner's retail background in County Durham and has since operated from Teesdale, handcrafting speakers for over three decades with a focus on musical authenticity.
The company specializes exclusively in loudspeakers, renowned for compact, innovative designs that punch well above their size. Neat employs distinctive isobaric configurations—rare among British makers—alongside precision-tuned cabinets and bass reflex ports to deliver balanced, enveloping sound with rich bass, harmonic highs, and subtle details. Models range from diminutive standmounts like the Petite Classic to ambitious floorstanders such as the Mystique, all finished in real wood veneers and built to prioritize the essence of music over mere specifications.
Positioned firmly in the high-end market, Neat Acoustics earns acclaim among audiophiles for sonic excellence and craftsmanship, offering ultimate musical reproduction regardless of scale or price. Tuned by musicians and distributed worldwide, its speakers stand as a boutique choice for discerning buyers seeking pure, exciting fidelity that transcends conventional measurements.
