Selling my pair of Feniks Essence active speakers. These are exceptionally well-built Swiss-designed active speakers that combine the speakers, amplification and DAC into a very compact system. They were designed as a genuine high-end audio system rather than conventional powered computer speakers...
This looks like a buyer’s market for this category: at A$1,250 it sits above the A$1,056 median but well below the A$2,936 75th percentile, so it reads as fair rather than cheap. It’s not a steal, but it’s comfortably in the zone where a clean pair can make sense if you want this specific compact active setup.
The appeal here is the all-in-one convenience: built-in amplification, DAC, and a coaxial driver format that’s aimed at nearfield clarity, imaging, and a tidy desktop or small-room footprint. If the pair is genuinely excellent and includes the stands, that adds real practical value. At this price, the main things to confirm are simple and specific: both channels working cleanly, no DSP/DAC oddities, and no cosmetic damage that would undercut the premium feel.

Feliks Audio traces its roots to Poland, where electronics engineer and audio enthusiast Henryk Feliks began designing amplifiers over 40 years ago as a passionate hobby. Around 20 years ago, he turned this pursuit commercial, selling custom-made units initially within Poland. In 2014, the second generation—sons Łukasz, Piotr, and Michał—joined the family business, elevating it into a global operation based in Lubliniec. Today, this tight-knit team of about 10 crafts products with over 25 years of accumulated expertise in tube amplification.
The brand specializes exclusively in handcrafted tube amplifiers, with a sharp focus on headphone applications. Their lineup includes output transformerless (OTL) designs like the accessible Echo, high-end models such as the Envy Susvara Edition, and even esoteric electrostatic amplifiers like the Bliss, which supports both modern and vintage headphones. Every piece is in-house engineered, tuned, and assembled, blending natural materials and unique topologies for purist performance, often doubling as preamps for active speakers.
Feliks Audio occupies a niche boutique position in the high-end hi-fi market, revered by headphone aficionados for its emotional, rewarding sonics that prioritize musicality over sterile precision. Distributed in over 20 countries through select channels, their four-figure pricing reflects premium, small-batch quality rather than mass-market volume, appealing to discerning buyers who value tradition-meets-innovation in tube-driven headphone amplification.
