If this is the original LA90 rather than the newer Discrete model, the timing matters a bit because Topping has moved the line on, but the asking price still looks fair-to-strong in the used market. New LA90 pricing was around A$899 at launch, while the newer LA90 Discrete sells for about A$1,399 new; against that backdrop, A$700 AUD for an excellent unit is solid value rather than a steal, but it’s comfortably sensible for a clean, current-desirable amp.
The appeal here is straightforward: the LA90 is known for very low noise and distortion, a compact footprint, and genuinely transparent, no-drama power for a desktop or efficient speakers.
