Offered is „Pilium Achilles“ by Pilium Audio as second-hand device from the category „Amplifier (incl. Surround)“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 9556954816 ends on 25.11.2026 at 10:01 o'clock.
Notable because this is a serious, true high-end stereo power amp, and €12,000 lands well below the recent used market. Against the six comparable EUR listings, it sits under the €14,494 25th percentile, so this reads as a strong deal rather than merely fair.
That price makes it a real buyer’s opportunity if the unit is clean and complete. Achilles is well regarded for control, scale, and ease at high power, and the usual upside here is straightforward: a rare piece, often sold with original box, paperwork, or dealer support when the listing is solid. At this level, the main things to verify are provenance, service history, and that all the heavy-duty packing and accessories are included.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Pilium Audio emerged in 2014 from Athens, Greece, under the leadership of Konstantinos Pilios, its CEO and driving force. Born from the founders' deep audiophile roots, the brand embodies a no-compromise pursuit of musical fidelity, handcrafting components with cutting-edge technology and a bare-voicing philosophy that prioritizes lifelike reproduction over artificial enhancements.
The company specializes in high-end electronics, including standout amplifiers like the massive Leonidas integrated model with its quad-transformer design, the Ares line-stage preamplifier, and series such as Brutale and Orchestra. Their focus remains squarely on power amplifiers, preamplifiers, and related components, delivering exceptional resolution, transparency, organic vocals, and dynamics without venturing into speakers, turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables.
Positioned as a rising boutique star in the ultra-high-end market, Pilium commands respect among discerning hi-fi enthusiasts for its cost-no-object builds designed to endure. Greek-owned yet with manufacturing ties to Bulgaria, it appeals to buyers seeking sensational, unadulterated sound that redefines perfection in home audio.
