Offered is „ASR Emitter I HD v 1.3“ by Schäfer & Rompf as second-hand device from the category „Fully integrated Amplifier“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 7797936672 ends on 25.11.2026 at 13:35 o'clock.
At €1,999, this sits well below the €2,628 median and just over the €1,956 first quartile for recent comparable EUR listings, so it reads as a solid buy rather than an average-market ask. It’s not quite a steal, but it is clearly on the good side of fair value for this class of amp.
The Emitter I is prized for its huge, effortless presentation, fine control, and the kind of build quality that still feels serious years later. If the unit is truly clean and fully functional, the real upside is getting into a top-tier statement amp at a sensible entry point; just make sure the external PSU, cabling, and any optional modules are present, since missing pieces would matter more than cosmetic age here.

ASR Audio Systems, based in Herborn, Germany, traces its roots to 1980 when Friedrich Schäfer founded the company, initially as ASR Audio Systeme Friedrich Schäfer. Schäfer, who remains the owner and chief designer, established the brand with a focus on meticulous engineering from the outset. By 1995, it had solidified under its current name, building a heritage of handcrafted components that prioritize sonic purity and longevity.
The brand specializes in high-end amplifiers, including iconic models like the Emitter I and II, which continue to anchor its catalog decades later. ASR's lineup emphasizes power amplifiers and integrated solutions known for their robust construction and dynamic performance, eschewing broader categories such as speakers, turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables.
ASR holds a revered position in the high-end hi-fi market as a niche boutique manufacturer, celebrated among audiophiles for exceptional sound characteristics and technical excellence. Its products command loyalty from discerning buyers seeking uncolored, impactful reproduction, often drawing comparisons to top-tier systems in showrooms worldwide.
