Offered is „B 25“ by Burmester as exhibit from the category „Standing Speaker“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 4577883455 ends on 25.11.2026 at 13:00 o'clock.
What should you be asking here: is €4,000 a sensible entry to a Burmester sound you can actually live with? It looks fair to slightly attractive. New pricing was around €8,200–€12,000 a pair, and recent used examples have shown up around €2,800–€3,500, so €4,000 sits a bit above the sweet spot but not in silly territory.
That’s still a worthwhile buy if the pair is complete and clean, because the B25 is a serious, well-regarded floorstander: refined, weighty, and very “big system” in the way it scales with good electronics. It’s the kind of speaker that rewards careful setup and a strong amplifier, so condition, finish, and originality matter more than chasing the last few hundred euros. If it’s cosmetically honest and fully working, this is a reasonable enthusiast’s purchase rather than a bargain-bin gamble.

Burmester Audiosysteme traces its roots to Berlin, Germany, where engineer and musician Dieter Burmester founded the company in 1977, formally registering it as a GmbH the following year. Born from his frustration with a faulty preamplifier, Burmester repurposed medical electronics into the iconic 777 amplifier—named for its July 1977 debut—launching a legacy of precision engineering and unyielding quality standards. Handcrafted in Berlin ever since, the brand embodies Dieter's vision of technical innovation without compromise, even after his passing.
The company specializes in luxury high-end audio components, including preamplifiers, power amplifiers, integrated and multi-channel amps, CD players, D/A converters, phono preamps, surround processors, FM tuners, speakers, power conditioners, and accessories. Burmester also excels in turntables and cables, but its hallmark is fully DC-coupled designs and symmetrical balanced topology, first pioneered in the 838 phono preamp, delivering noise-free, distortion-minimal sound.
Positioned at the pinnacle of the high-end market, Burmester commands a global reputation for uncompromising musicality, timeless design, and bespoke craftsmanship, often rivaling or exceeding competitors in clarity and dynamics. Its prestige extends to automotive partnerships since 2002, powering elite systems in Bugatti Veyron, Porsche Panamera and Cayenne, Mercedes-Benz, and Ferrari models—proving hi-fi perfection transcends the home.
