At €4,299, this sits just under the €4,360 median for recent comparable used listings, so it reads as a fair-to-slightly-healthy buy rather than a steal. It’s also comfortably inside the typical middle band between €3,318 and €4,952, which is exactly where a clean example of this class of speaker should land.
That’s a strong point for a buyer: the Ultima Studio is a genuinely serious Revel design, known for low coloration, deep controlled bass, and a very even, transparent presentation when properly driven. If the cabinets, drivers, and crossover functions are all clean and it includes the original grilles/spikes/packing, this is the kind of listing that can make a lot of sense for someone wanting true high-end performance without paying new-flagship money.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Revel, an American high-end loudspeaker brand, traces its origins to the mid-1990s when Sidney Harman, founder of Harman International, challenged his team to create the world's best speakers, birthing the company around 1996 under Sanford Berlin at Madrigal Audio Laboratories. Harman acquired Revel in 2002, and following Samsung's 2017 purchase of Harman, it gained vast R&D resources while preserving its engineering focus. Based in Stamford, Connecticut, with an acoustics center in Northridge, California, Revel has evolved over three decades into a benchmark for precision audio reproduction.
The brand specializes exclusively in loudspeakers, spanning residential floorstanding and bookshelf models, architectural in-wall and in-ceiling solutions, and rugged outdoor systems engineered for extreme conditions. Revel also supplies premium OEM audio for Lincoln vehicles, showcasing its tuning expertise. Unlike brands venturing into amplifiers, DACs, or headphones, Revel hones a singular pursuit: scientifically validated drivers, waveguides, and cabinets that minimize distortion and deliver uncolored sound.
Revel commands a premium position as the accessible technology leader in luxury hi-fi, cascading advanced materials and blind-tested designs across price tiers to dominate both audiophile and custom-install markets. Competitors like Focal or Sonus Faber often sideline architectural needs, but Revel's comprehensive lines and corporate backing ensure concert-hall fidelity for discerning buyers prioritizing measurable accuracy over boutique aesthetics.
