Auris’ Euterpe sits in that appealing sweet spot: a genuinely tube-flavored desktop all-in-one with DAC, preamp, and headphone amp duties, and it has a good reputation for being more versatile than its looks suggest. At US$800, this is comfortably below the US$1,024 median and even under the US$1,739 75th percentile, so it reads as a solid buy rather than an ambitious ask.
What makes it worth a look is the flexibility: USB DAC, RCA input, pre-out, and a linear PSU in the package, plus enough power and output options to suit a lot of real-world systems. It’s the kind of piece that can anchor a small hi-fi or headphone setup without feeling compromised, and the included PSU is a meaningful plus. If the unit is clean, fully functional, and comes with the original tubes and power supply, this looks like a nice opportunity.
