The obvious alternative at this price is another budget DAC/amp, and at US$125 this sits a touch under the US$134 median for recent used asks, so it reads as a sensible buy rather than a steal. It is not quite in bargain territory versus the US$115 25th percentile, but it is close enough that a clean, working unit feels fairly priced.
That makes sense for a box like this: it is a well-liked all-in-one for desktop use, with solid DAC performance, headphone output, and preamp flexibility in one compact unit. If the unit is complete and in good shape, the value is in convenience and proven reputation more than in rarity; at this level, the main thing to check is that the remote, power supply, and inputs all work properly.
