This is a buyer’s market for the E30 class right now, and A$128 lands right around the median of recent used listings, so the price reads as fair rather than special. It’s not a bargain at this level, but it is sensibly aligned with the market for a well-regarded budget DAC.
The appeal is straightforward: the E30 has earned a solid reputation for clean sound, compact size, remote control, and useful input flexibility, with preamp functionality as a nice bonus if you need it. If the unit is genuinely clean and includes the remote and power supply, it’s an easy recommend at A$128; if anything is missing, the value drops quickly because this model’s selling point is the complete, hassle-free package.
