Buyer’s market here, and €750 is on the ambitious side versus the current used pool: it sits well above the €436 median and also above the €763 75th percentile only by a little, so it’s not a bargain price for a generic used subwoofer listing. For a clean, complete setup in excellent shape, though, it can still be defensible if the included extras are genuinely useful and the system is turnkey.
Nubert gear has a strong reputation for solid build, honest bass, and good value in the second-hand market, and that matters if the set includes a proper sub plus the matching electronics and accessories. The upside is convenience and likely good condition; the buyer should mainly confirm the exact contents, functionality, and whether anything important is missing, because at this price you want the package to be truly complete.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Nubert electronic GmbH traces its roots to a garage in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany, where Günther Nubert began crafting loudspeakers to his exacting standards in the early 1970s. On January 10, 1975, he formally founded the company, marking the birth of a brand synonymous with honest, uncolored audio reproduction. What started as a passion project quickly evolved into a nationwide phenomenon, fueled by word-of-mouth praise and the debut of iconic models like the 388, 471, 551, and the distinctive omnidirectional nuPyramide. Still under Günther Nubert's leadership as owner and chief developer, the company has maintained family-run independence for over 50 years.
Nubert's product lineup centers on loudspeakers, from passive floorstanders and bookshelves in series like Numero to active systems and powerful soundbars that punch above their weight in home theater performance. Since introducing its first in-house amplifier in 2005, the brand has expanded into integrated electronics, emphasizing neutral signal fidelity across music and film playback. While not venturing into turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables, Nubert prioritizes direct-sales models that deliver high-value engineering without retail markups.
Renowned as a pioneer of Germany's direct-to-consumer hi-fi model since 1995—which drove 40% annual growth amid a shrinking market—Nubert occupies a solid mid-to-high-tier position. Selling around 15,000 pairs yearly at its peak, it appeals to discerning buyers seeking robust, made-in-Germany performance over flashy aesthetics, earning a loyal following for transparent sound that lets source material shine unaltered.
