Offered is „N100/D100“ by DELA as second-hand device from the category „Harddisk Audio-Server“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 8967409147 ends on 26.11.2026 at 16:24 o'clock.
Buyer’s market: at €1,499, this lands essentially on top of the median used ask of €1,500, so it reads as a fair, buyable price rather than a steal or an aggressive ask. It’s also comfortably below the 75th percentile at €1,949, which keeps it out of “ambitious” territory.
This is a respected digital front-end for listeners who want a tidy, high-quality network music server with a matching disc-ripping/transport option, and the line has a strong reputation for clean, open, low-fatigue playback. At this price and in good condition, the real upside is getting a well-regarded, no-nonsense piece that still sits in a serious audiophile tier without paying top-of-market money.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
DELA traces its roots to 1975, when Makoto Maki, a passionate audiophile, founded Melco—short for Maki Engineering Laboratory Company—in Nagoya, Japan. Starting amid financial challenges, Maki opened the Mel Shop in the Ame-Yoko Radio Center, transforming it into a vibrant hub for audio enthusiasts. This laid the foundation for innovation, evolving through Buffalo, Melco's parent company, which leveraged its audio heritage to pioneer PC peripherals before returning to pure sound reproduction.
Under the DELA banner—a rebranding of Melco announced in 2025 to mark its 50th anniversary—the brand specializes in high-end digital music systems. It excels in network streamers, music servers, and audiophile-grade network switches, such as the N1-S38B Digital Music Library and the entry-level S50 switch. These components prioritize transmission quality, blending Japanese engineering precision with intuitive usability for seamless digital playback.
DELA holds a prestigious position in the high-end hi-fi market, revered by discerning music lovers for delivering music in its purest, most emotional form. As a niche boutique from Buffalo's technology empire, it commands respect among streaming enthusiasts, offering reference-level performance that rivals top-tier competitors while emphasizing handmade quality and audio-centric innovation.
