Offered is „Frey 2 high end audio speaker cables 3,0 metre“ by Nordost as second-hand device from the category „Speaker Cable“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 9786374733 ends on 27.11.2026 at 17:28 o'clock.
Is this the kind of Frey 2 you’ve been waiting for, or is the asking price asking too much? At €3,199, this sits well above the recent used-market median of €1,329 and even clears the 75th percentile of €1,800, so it reads as ambitious rather than fair. This is not a bargain unless it comes with unusually long runs, factory termination, or a clearly exceptional provenance story.
That said, Frey 2 interconnects are very well regarded for their speed, transparency, and low-noise presentation, so a clean pair can absolutely justify a premium if you specifically want Nordost’s house sound. With a “good” condition rating, the main buyer question is whether the listing includes the exact length and connectors you need, because those details drive real value here; otherwise, this one is hard to love at €3,199.

Nordost, an American high-end audio brand, traces its origins to 1991 when it was founded in Massachusetts, just outside Boston. From the outset, the company committed to designing, engineering, and manufacturing all products exclusively in the United States, drawing on aerospace-derived technologies like conductor solutions to pioneer its signature flat cable geometry. This Northeast-rooted heritage—reflected even in the brand's name, meaning "northeast" in Scandinavian languages—has defined Nordost as a beacon of innovation in signal preservation for over three decades.
The brand specializes in premium hi-fi cables and accessories, including speaker cables, interconnects, digital cables, power cords, and video transmission lines. Nordost employs advanced techniques such as Micro Mono-Filament construction and mechanically tuned lengths to minimize distortion and maximize fidelity. Beyond cables, its lineup extends to power distribution systems, grounding solutions, and resonance control devices, forming a comprehensive ecosystem that enhances the entire audio chain without venturing into amplifiers, speakers, or turntables.
Renowned among audiophiles worldwide, Nordost occupies a premium niche in the high-end market, celebrated for revolutionary designs that deliver unadulterated sound. From accessible Leif series entry points to exotic Valhalla and Odin flagships, its products command respect in over 60 countries, positioning the brand as a go-to for discerning buyers seeking boundary-pushing performance and uncompromising quality.
