The Optoma CinemaX P2 is a short throw 4K Ultra Laser Projector. It has solid colours and very bright with 3000 lumens. It was bought new, is used occasionally and is in great condition. It has built-in soundbar boasting of upto 40wpc audio, and wired and wireless connections with the main stereo system for greater experience.
A standout home-cinema UST, but the asking price is well above the recent used market. Against the 6 comparable GBP listings, £2,300 sits far past the 75th percentile of £1,256 and is roughly 3.5× the median £656, so this reads as ambitious rather than a fair-market ask.
That said, the model has a strong reputation for a bright, punchy 4K laser image and easy living-room placement, which is why good examples still hold interest. In excellent condition, the real upside is if it comes with the original remote, lens cover, packaging, or proof of low hours; at this price, those extras help justify the premium.

Optoma, a Taiwanese brand established in 2002 as a subsidiary of Coretronic, traces its roots to the late 1990s with the opening of its EMEA headquarters in the UK by SY Chen. Listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 2007, the company has grown into a global player with regional offices across the USA, Europe, and Asia, building on Coretronic's expertise in electronics manufacturing.
While best known for its dominant lineup of DLP projectors—holding significant global market share through superior image processing and reliability—Optoma also offers audio products under its NuForce range. These include premium sound solutions crafted from high-quality components, emphasizing sleek design and exceptional fidelity for discerning listeners in home entertainment and professional AV setups.
Optoma occupies a strong mid-tier position in the projection market, prized for innovative, reliable visual technology that serves business, education, and home users. Its audio offerings appeal to hi-fi enthusiasts seeking accessible quality without ultra-high-end pricing, though it remains more niche compared to dedicated pure-audio brands. This blend of projection prowess and capable sound positions Optoma as a versatile choice for integrated AV systems.
