Seller's Description

Up for grabs is one of the finest network streamers of the last ten years: the dCS Network Bridge.

This dCS isn't new - it's only five years old - and I would rate its extrerior condition at 9/10 (because it isn't new). Functionally, as you might expect from a network streamer, it's flawless.

I have the original packaging but not the original receipt. This is reflected in the asking price.

This unit is PICK-UP ONLY, CASH ONLY.

Kindly note, I am not a hifi store so I cannot offer you an audition. If you want that, please visit your local dCS dealer. This streamer is for someone who already knows how good the Network Bridge is.

I will, of course, demonstrate this streamer's full working condition to you before you take it away.

And again: this sale is PICK-UP ONLY, CASH ONLY.

Frequently asked questions:

Q. Are you 100% sure you won't ship this?
A. Yes. 100%.

Q. Why won't you ship?
A. Because then you will ALSO ask me to accept PayPal as a payment method -- and this sale is cash only, pick-up only.

Q. Will you accept my offer?
A. No, I will not. I have priced the dCS more than fairly.

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

€1,750 is a strong deal: it sits below the supplied 25th-percentile comparable price of €1,948 and well below the €2,363 median, making this excellent value for an example described as excellent condition.

The Network Bridge remains a particularly capable digital front end, with Roon, UPnP, AirPlay, streaming services, USB storage, dual AES/EBU, coaxial S/PDIF, SDIF-2, and word-clock connectivity. It is especially appealing with a compatible dCS DAC, where dual AES and careful clocking can exploit high-resolution PCM and DSD playback. The only practical requirement is an existing DAC and a wired Ethernet connection; otherwise, at this price, a clean unit is a genuine buying opportunity.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About dCS

dCS: British Digital Audio Pioneer

dCS (Data Conversion Systems) was established in Cambridge, England in 1987, emerging from a background in advanced signal processing and radar systems for aerospace applications including RAF Harrier and Typhoon aircraft. This foundation in hard science and digital engineering has defined the company's trajectory from electronics consultancy to specialist audio manufacturer. The company transitioned to consumer audio in 1989 with the 900 ADC, an analogue-to-digital converter for professional studios, and by 1996 launched the Elgar, claimed to be the first 24-bit high-resolution DAC for the domestic hi-fi market.

dCS specializes exclusively in digital audio conversion technology, with their product range centered on DACs (digital-to-analogue converters) and associated digital processing components. Every product incorporates the company's proprietary Ring DAC technology, a hallmark of their engineering approach. Rather than diversifying into amplifiers, speakers, or other categories, dCS has maintained singular focus on mastering the conversion and playback of digital audio signals with maximum fidelity.

The brand occupies the ultra-premium, high-end segment of the audio market, positioning itself among the world's most respected specialist manufacturers. All products are hand-assembled in-house at their Cambridge facility by a dedicated team of designers and technicians. dCS commands significant respect among professional recording engineers and discerning audiophiles seeking uncompromising digital audio performance, representing a rare example of a British hi-fi company that has sustained innovation and manufacturing excellence over nearly four decades.
