This is a fair ask, sitting just below the €192 median for comparable listings and comfortably above the €93 lower quartile. At €180, the excellent condition makes it a sensible buy rather than a bargain, assuming the unit is complete and fully tested.
The SoundTouch 2 is a pleasant, compact wireless speaker with clear, full-range sound, simple presets, auxiliary input, Ethernet, and the option to join other SoundTouch units for multiroom playback. It is particularly appealing for easy everyday listening and radio or locally sourced music, with the original remote and power supply adding useful value. Before buying, confirm that Wi‑Fi setup and the app still suit your intended use, since this older platform’s streaming support is less future-proof than newer systems.

Bose Corporation traces its roots to 1964, when MIT professor Amar Gopal Bose founded the company in Natick, Massachusetts, after growing disillusioned with the poor performance of a high-end stereo system he purchased as a graduate student. Driven by a passion for replicating the immersive qualities of live music through rigorous acoustic research, Bose launched the venture with initial contracts for the U.S. military and NASA, emphasizing innovative speaker designs that prioritized indirect, reverberant sound over direct radiation. This American heritage, rooted in psychoacoustics and engineering excellence, has defined the brand's pursuit of "Better Sound Through Research."
Bose excels in consumer and professional audio categories, renowned for its home audio systems, premium speakers like the iconic 901 Series, and pioneering noise-canceling headphones first prototyped in the 1980s for pilots. The lineup extends to vehicle sound systems, portable Bluetooth speakers, and professional installations, but steers clear of niche hi-fi components such as amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, focusing instead on integrated, user-friendly solutions that blend advanced signal processing with spatial audio reproduction.
Positioned as a premium mid-tier powerhouse in the global market, Bose commands widespread appeal among discerning buyers seeking accessible high-performance audio without audiophile esoterica. Its reputation for innovation and reliability has built a loyal following, though purists occasionally critique its measured sound signature, cementing Bose as a dominant force in mainstream hi-fi rather than high-end boutique or vintage realms.
