Quiescent emerged in 2017 as the evolution of Vertex AQ, a UK-based pioneer in noise and vibration control for audio systems with over two decades of acclaimed products. Retaining co-founder John Cheadle and introducing designer Nigel Payne, the brand carries forward Vertex's legacy of tackling interference at its source, rooted in meticulous engineering from England.
The company's focus lies in high-performance infrastructure that eliminates EMI, RFI, and acoustic vibrations across audio chains, from digital inputs to component supports. Quiescent offers premium power amplifiers like the T100SPA stereo model and T100MPA monos, alongside the T500VA balanced mains supply, plus specialized mains, loudspeaker cabling, and interconnects—all incorporating proprietary QPower noise-suppression systems for mechanical and electrical purity.
Positioned firmly in the high-end audiophile market, Quiescent commands a niche boutique reputation for revelatory noise reduction that unlocks source fidelity, earning reviewer praise and a devoted following among discerning enthusiasts seeking uncolored, lifelike sound reproduction.
