Offered is „Atoll AM 400“ by Atoll Electronique as second-hand device from the category „Transistor-Poweramp“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 6553251979 ends on 30.11.2026 at 14:23 o'clock.
In good condition, EUR 1,950 is an ambitious ask for an Atoll speaker listing. It sits well above the 15-listing market median of EUR 1,014 and clears the 75th percentile of EUR 1,784, so it needs unusually strong justification rather than a routine used-price premium. With the exact model unspecified, the benchmark remains broad; confirm the model, production age, and whether the price is for a complete stereo pair.
Atoll speakers can make worthwhile partners for the company’s energetic, transparent electronics, with good rhythmic drive and convincing detail when properly matched. At this price, insist on immaculate cabinets, undamaged grilles and drivers, original packaging, and clear evidence of ownership and pair completeness. Without rare-model status or exceptional provenance, there should be room to negotiate toward the market rather than accepting EUR 1,950 outright.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Atoll Electronique emerged in September 1997 from the Normandy town of Brécey, France, founded by brothers Stéphane and Emmanuel Dubreuil. Driven by a mission to deliver true high-end audio electronics at accessible prices, the family-run company has remained rooted in its original factory, where it doubled production capacity just a few years ago without chasing fleeting trends. Every product undergoes handmade assembly, with printed circuits wired by hand, discrete components soldered meticulously, and rigorous multi-stage testing before shipment—80% of parts sourced domestically for unwavering quality control.
The brand's portfolio spans over 40 models, centering on integrated amplifiers like the acclaimed IN200 Signature and IN50, alongside preamplifiers, power amps, DACs, CD players, and music streamers. Modular options, such as phono-stage and DAC expansion boards, enhance versatility, while a disciplined philosophy ensures new releases only when meaningful advancements justify them. This focus on amplification and digital sources defines Atoll's identity, eschewing speakers, turntables, headphones, or cables.
Positioned as a mid-tier high-end contender, Atoll earns praise for punching above its weight against rivals like Marantz, Parasound, and Rotel, blending Class A sonics with Class AB power in compact, domestically crafted designs that master demanding speakers. Widely awarded in Europe and gaining North American traction, it appeals to discerning buyers seeking engineered excellence without extravagance—a boutique gem for the savvy audiophile.
