Why this one
Fair condition - noticeable imperfections, priced to reflect it
Simaudio's Moon line is renowned for refined, low-noise high-fidelity amplification.
Includes original box, manual, and remote control - fully kitted out.
Condition: Fair
This Hi-Fi amplifier is in fair condition. Our 8-point functional test was completed in full: all checks passed except no hum. Note: The unit is in good overall condition and functions as expected across all tested features. The one issue identified is that as the volume approaches maximum, a gradual buzzing sound develops. This is barely perceptible during music playback, but is more noticeable during pauses or silence. Comes complete with the original box, manual, and remote control. Please review all photos carefully, as they provide an accurate representation of the cosmetic condition of the product.

About this model
The Simaudio Moon ACE is an all-in-one integrated amplifier and streaming hub from Simaudio's respected Moon line, designed to serve as a complete high-fidelity system in a single chassis. It combines an integrated stereo amplifier with a DAC, headphone amplifier, and the Mind 2 network streaming module, allowing playback from local networks, internet radio, and streaming services. Built around Simaudio's characteristic attention to low-noise circuit design, the ACE is aimed at listeners who want a consolidated, high-quality source-to-speaker solution without sacrificing sonic performance.
A great opportunity to own a Simaudio Moon ACE Mind 2 at this price point.
Are you looking for a compact “just add speakers” system rather than maximum amplifier power? At US$1,472, this is a strong buy: it sits just below the US$1,500 median and well above the US$599 25th-percentile floor, so the price is fair-to-good rather than inflated.
The ACE is a genuinely capable all-in-one, combining a refined 50Wpc Class A/B amplifier with MiND 2 streaming, a high-resolution DAC, MM phono stage, headphone output, and broad digital connectivity. It suits efficient to moderately demanding speakers and offers unusual system simplicity without giving up useful upgrade flexibility. The original box, manuals, and remote add real value, especially for a premium component. Confirm that streaming, display, remote, phono input, and both channels work properly, but there is no obvious price-related concern here.

Moon by Simaudio traces its roots to 1980, when Victor Sima, an audio engineer who emigrated from Israel to Canada, founded Sima Electronique in Quebec with a deliberate mission to craft superior-sounding audio products at accessible prices. Initially targeting professionals, the brand quickly won over audiophiles for its value and sonic excellence. Sima retired in 1994, selling to Jean Poulin, whose leadership elevated the company; by the late 1990s, the premium MOON series emerged from the successful Celeste line, embodying innovation and engineering precision while remaining privately held for unwavering control.
The brand specializes in high-performance electronics, excelling in integrated and power amplifiers, preamplifiers, DACs, and streaming solutions that prioritize musicality and build quality. Hand-assembled in-house with custom chassis and rigorous burn-in testing, MOON products span reference-grade separates to all-in-one systems like the ACE, alongside multi-channel AV amplifiers. While not venturing into speakers, turntables, headphones, or cables, their focus on pure analog and digital playback delivers cosmic precision and futuristic design.
Positioned firmly in the high-end market, Moon by Simaudio commands respect among discerning buyers for its clear, natural sound that makes music visceral rather than tweaky. Exported to 45 countries with accolades from Stereophile and The Absolute Sound, it rejects mass-market compromises, offering approachable luxury that bridges specialist hi-fi with broader appeal—vibrantly successful today as a Canadian benchmark for uncompromising performance.
