Seller's Description

Dynaudio BM5A MKII Bookshelf Loudspeakers Selling my second pair of Dynaudio BM5As.   These are my favourite speakers and as such I have 2 pairs. I will never be without one pair.  This is my better condition pair and would like to see these go to a good home   These are not only for nearfield listening. These are incredible in a proper 2 channel setup in a listening room or open living space.    No need for amps as these have them built in, these are still the good class A/B before they went to class D in the MK3. Just hook up to a preamp/DAC/interface and away you go.    Info can be found he

About Dynaudio

Dynaudio is a Danish loudspeaker manufacturer founded in 1977 in Skanderborg by acoustic engineers Wilfried Ehrenholz and Mark Thorup, alongside co-founder Ivan Scarning Geard. The company emerged from a conviction that off-the-shelf speakers of the era failed to reproduce music authentically. From its inception, Dynaudio has maintained vertical integration, designing and manufacturing its own drivers rather than sourcing components externally—a practice that remains central to the brand's identity and quality control.

The company specializes exclusively in loudspeakers and speaker systems across two primary markets: high-fidelity consumer audio and professional studio monitoring. Dynaudio's consumer division produces reference-grade speakers for discerning listeners, while its professional subsidiary, Dynaudio Acoustics, manufactures studio monitors installed in more than ten thousand recording studios worldwide. The brand has earned particular distinction as a reference monitor choice for BBC Radio & Music, underscoring its credibility in professional environments.

Dynaudio occupies the high-end segment of the audio market, positioning itself among premium manufacturers rather than mass-market producers. The brand's reputation rests on uncompromising engineering philosophy—prioritizing authentic driver design over superficial aesthetics—and consistent innovation in loudspeaker technology. Since its acquisition by Chinese electronics company Goertek in 2014, Dynaudio has maintained its Danish heritage and manufacturing practices while expanding its global reach. For knowledgeable buyers, Dynaudio represents a convergence of Scandinavian design sensibility, technical rigor, and professional-grade performance in the consumer hi-fi space.
