Hallo zusammen,
Excellent condition helps, but €600 is clearly ambitious against the used market: it sits well above the €357 75th percentile, versus a €210 median and €92 25th percentile from 26 comparable listings. At this money, the listing needs to include the full original package and offer unusually strong provenance or warranty to make sense.
The NEO iDSD 2 is a genuinely capable desktop DAC/headphone amp, combining balanced XLR and 4.4mm operation, strong power for demanding headphones, flexible USB, optical, coaxial and Bluetooth inputs, plus aptX Lossless and useful XSpace/XBass controls. Excellent condition is worthwhile on a clean, modern unit, but it does not by itself justify such a large premium. A buyer should negotiate toward the market median; €600 is for someone prioritising this exact example over value.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
iFi Audio is a British hi-fi technology company founded in 2012 by Abbingdon Music Research (AMR), a prestigious manufacturer of high-end electronics based in Southport, England. The venture was conceived as a way to democratize advanced AMR engineering by applying proprietary technologies developed for premium home audio to portable, more affordable devices. This strategic pivot proved remarkably successful, establishing iFi as a bridge between audiophile-grade sound quality and accessible pricing.
The brand specializes in portable and desktop audio components, with a product portfolio exceeding 50 devices spanning DACs, headphone amplifiers, Bluetooth streamers, music players, power conditioners, and cables. Flagship products include the iDSD Micro, Hip DAC, xDSD, and xCAN amplifier, all engineered to deliver high-resolution audio support and studio-quality fidelity in compact form factors. iFi has also gained recognition for innovation in wireless audio, notably with their GO Pods earphones featuring xMEMS technology and their Bluetooth-enabled DAC/amp solutions.
iFi occupies a distinctive mid-to-premium market position, offering audiophile-caliber performance at entry-level to mid-tier pricing. The company sources components globally from Germany, Japan, and the USA, and employs proprietary technologies such as PureWave balanced circuitry to minimize noise and distortion. Rather than competing in the ultra-luxury segment, iFi targets discerning listeners who demand measurable sonic improvement without premium price tags, making it a trusted choice for both portable and desktop audio enthusiasts.
