At €120, this is a strong bargain against the recent used market: it sits below the €124 25th-percentile asking price, versus a €248 median and €430 75th percentile. The catch is the “for parts” condition, so the discount is justified only if you are comfortable treating it as a repair or donor purchase rather than a ready-to-play pair.
The Stereo L is a substantial Teufel floorstander with a lively, room-filling presentation and good potential as a budget two-channel or home-cinema foundation. At this money, even a recoverable fault, usable cabinet, intact drivers, or salvageable crossover parts can make the deal worthwhile. Before committing, establish exactly what fails, whether both speakers are included, and whether the drivers and cabinets are physically sound; those details determine whether this is a genuine bargain or merely cheap scrap.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Teufel is a German audio brand with roots in Berlin, where it was founded in 1979 by Carl Teufel. Emerging during the heyday of home hi-fi enthusiasm, the company built its heritage on engineering-driven innovation, initially focusing on custom speaker designs that prioritized precision and dynamic sound reproduction for discerning listeners.
The brand excels in active speakers and soundbars, alongside wireless multi-room systems, headphones, and portable Bluetooth options. While not delving into amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, Teufel emphasizes integrated solutions with built-in amplification and app-controlled streaming, catering to modern home entertainment setups.
Positioned as a mid-tier contender with premium aspirations, Teufel enjoys a strong reputation in Europe for delivering high-value performance—bold bass, spacious imaging, and robust build quality—that punches above its price point. It appeals to knowledgeable buyers seeking reliable, stylish hi-fi without ultra-high-end excess, holding a solid niche in the competitive consumer audio market.
