Prima Luna Evo 400 tube power amp.In stunning condition and working order. Remote control included. All boxes and packaging. Stunning amp. I also have a melco na1zs solid state music server/ library for sale. Valve cover not shown, I have it. Everything looks as new condition. 3550 Ono.
This is a buyer’s market at this price: GBP £3,495 is above the 75th-percentile asking price of GBP £3,398 and roughly GBP £473 above the median of GBP £3,022. It is therefore ambitious rather than a bargain; excellent condition helps, but the seller is asking a premium.
The EVO 400 remains a highly capable, well-regarded valve integrated: 70 watts per channel in Ultra-Linear mode, switchable 38-watt triode operation, adaptive autobias, 4/8-ohm taps, headphone output and home-theatre bypass. Its combination of drive, tonal richness and flexibility makes it a serious one-box amplifier, particularly with demanding speakers. At GBP £3,495, I’d want the remote, original packaging and a convincing valve history included; otherwise, negotiating toward the median would make this a much more compelling buy.

PrimaLuna, a boutique Dutch hi-fi brand, emerged in 2003 from the vision of Herman van den Dungen, a seasoned industry veteran with over 40 years of experience. Born in the Netherlands, van den Dungen had built his reputation earlier through Durob Audio, founded in 1975 as one of the first high-end importers in the Benelux region. Drawing on decades of tinkering with vintage radios and turntables, he launched PrimaLuna to democratize elite tube amplification, blending European design ingenuity with rigorous quality oversight in Chinese manufacturing.
The brand specializes exclusively in vacuum tube amplifiers, including integrated, power, and preamplifier models across series like ProLogue, DiaLogue, and EVO. PrimaLuna's hallmark is its unique construction—point-to-point wiring, custom transformers, and tube rectification—prioritizing sonic purity, longevity, and minimal servicing needs over broader categories like speakers, DACs, or turntables.
Positioned as high-end yet accessible, PrimaLuna occupies a niche among tube enthusiasts, earning acclaim for delivering "joyous cost-value surprises" through reliable, musically engaging performance that rivals pricier competitors. Its reputation for dependability and superb sound has solidified its status among discerning audiophiles worldwide, underscoring Dutch precision in a crowded market.
