Comparable used asking prices center on €181, with the lower quartile at €133 and the upper quartile at €206. At €50, this is comfortably below the 25th percentile—a genuine bargain if the listing is for a usable pair rather than a single plug.
These in-akustik BFA bananas are a worthwhile upgrade for tidy, secure speaker-cable termination: the screw-clamp fitting accepts cable up to roughly 6 mm², while the gold-plated brass contacts offer durable, low-resistance connections. The solid construction and red/black coding are practical rather than gimmicky. Check the quantity, confirm both hex screws and clamp hardware are present, and make sure the plugs suit your cable gauge and terminals; otherwise, excellent condition at €50 makes this an easy buy.

In-akustik traces its roots to 1977, when hi-fi enthusiasts Ilse and Günther Sumser founded the company in Ballrechten-Dottingen, a village in Germany's Black Forest region near Freiburg. Driven by a passion for authentic music reproduction, they recognized that superior device connections were essential for optimal playback, leveraging expertise from the related Braunkabel firm, which had been producing cables since 1972. This German heritage underscores a commitment to precision engineering in the heart of the country's renowned manufacturing landscape.
The brand specializes in high-end and hi-fi audio and video cables, designing intricate architectures that minimize signal loss and deliver pure sound. Beyond cables, in-akustik operates its own music label and distributes select premium brands like Audiovector speakers and Primare electronics in key markets, forming a curated ecosystem for audiophiles. Their in-house production facility ensures meticulous quality control, from raw materials to final assembly.
Positioned as a leading mid-to-high-end supplier, in-akustik earns acclaim for uncompromising German craftsmanship and "Made in Germany" reliability, appealing to discerning buyers worldwide who prioritize low-loss transmission and authentic listening pleasure.
