This looks like a fair ask rather than a bargain: £4,199 is exactly the median of three recent comparable listings, sitting between the £3,904–£4,508 middle-market range. It is therefore correctly priced, though not an obvious “buy now” deal unless the condition, packaging and accessories are especially good.
The AMP-23R remains a seriously appealing compact integrated/headphone amplifier, with a distinctive zero-negative-feedback design, excellent speed and transparency, and 25W into 8 ohms or 45W into 4 ohms. Its built-in headphone stage is unusually capable, too. The main matching point is speaker sensitivity: it is happiest with reasonably efficient loudspeakers and sensible room levels. Confirm the remote, original feet and power cable are included; with those present and the unit clean, £4,199 is a sound enthusiast-to-enthusiast price.

Enleum: A Korean High-End Audio Innovator
Enleum traces its roots to 2009, when Korean enthusiast Soo-In Chae began collaborating with Akira Nagai's firm to develop premium audio products for both domestic and global markets. The brand was formally launched under the Enleum name in 2021, marking a strategic rebranding of their legacy operations. The company name itself merges "Enlightenment" with "eum," the Korean word for sound—a philosophy that underpins their design ethos. Enleum Inc. now operates with a California headquarters overseeing global design and product strategy, establishing the brand as a distinctly Korean-Japanese venture with international reach.
The company specializes in high-end amplification, with their flagship AMP-23R solid-state amplifier serving as the cornerstone of their portfolio. They also manufacture the HPA-23RM headphone amplifier, positioning themselves as specialists in amplification rather than broad-spectrum audio manufacturers. Their products are characterized by meticulous attention to both sonic performance and industrial design, employing traditional Korean craftsmanship elements like hand-finished lacquer controls alongside modern engineering.
Enleum occupies a prestigious niche within the boutique high-end segment, distinguished by an unusual achievement: winning numerous design awards alongside accolades from audiophile publications worldwide. Their amplifiers have earned particular praise for delivering tube-like musicality from solid-state architecture—a hallmark of their design philosophy. The brand appeals to discerning audiophiles seeking compact, efficient amplification with refined aesthetics and proven sonic credentials, positioning them as a serious contender in the upper-tier audio market despite their relatively modest product lineup.
