This is a fair ask, sitting just above the €115 median and below the €154 75th percentile for comparable used AirPods Max listings. However, “for parts” changes the equation substantially: €150 is only attractive if the fault is minor, clearly diagnosed, and the headphones are otherwise complete.
The AirPods Max remain compelling for their excellent noise cancellation, refined sound, premium build, and seamless Apple-device integration, with Spatial Audio and automatic switching as genuine everyday advantages. At this price, though, verify exactly what works: charging, pairing, both drivers, ANC/transparency, Digital Crown, microphones, and battery behavior. Confirm the model generation and whether the Smart Case, ear cushions, and charging cable are included; an unknown electronic fault can quickly make €150 poor value.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Apple Inc. traces its origins to April 1, 1976, when Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, along with Ronald Wayne, founded the company in the Jobs family garage in Cupertino, California. What began as a modest venture to build personal computers evolved into a tech powerhouse, with early forays into audio via the 2001 launch of iTunes and the iconic iPod portable music player.
In the hi-fi realm, Apple focuses on integrated consumer audio solutions rather than traditional separates like amplifiers, turntables, or DACs. The company is renowned for wireless speakers such as the short-lived iPod Hi-Fi (2006-2007) and the more advanced HomePod series, alongside premium headphones including AirPods and AirPods Max. These products emphasize seamless ecosystem integration, portability, and digital streaming over analog purism.
Apple holds a dominant position in the premium consumer audio market, blending high-end aspirations with mass-market accessibility. While not a staple among traditional hi-fi purists—who often critique its closed ecosystem and past efforts like the iPod Hi-Fi as underwhelming—its products command loyalty for sonic refinement, computational audio processing, and design excellence, positioning it as a mid-to-high-tier contender for savvy buyers prioritizing convenience over boutique esoterica.
