New, the SimAudio Moon 350P was a serious high-end preamplifier, and £1,500 is clearly above the used-market norm here: four comparable listings have a median of £762, with the 75th percentile at £1,143. That makes this asking price ambitious rather than a bargain, unless its condition and provenance are exceptional.
It remains a worthwhile piece for a carefully matched system. The 350P is respected for its clean, controlled presentation, low noise, solid build, and useful line-level connectivity, while the remote and original packaging add practical value. At £1,500, however, the buyer should expect near-mint condition, complete accessories, and convincing evidence of service or careful ownership. Otherwise, negotiation toward the market median would be sensible; around £1,000–£1,150 would feel much more defensible.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
SIM2 Multimedia, founded in 1995 in Italy, embodies the nation's renowned craftsmanship in electronics, with roots tracing back to early innovations in high-definition projection technology from the 1990s. Emerging as a boutique specialist amid multinational giants, the company has built a global presence through sister operations in the US, UK, China, and Germany, while distributing in over 60 countries. Its unwavering dedication to Italian design and engineering has defined three decades of excellence in visual display systems.
The brand focuses exclusively on premium home cinema projectors, eschewing diversification into amplifiers, speakers, turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables. SIM2 pioneered high-definition projectors and leads in HDR technology since 2007, producing DLP-based models like the UltraNero4 and Grand Cinema series. These feature laser platforms, large 0.66 DMD chips, and crystal glass cabinets that blend aesthetic appeal with durability, tailored for residential theaters, commercial spaces, and e-cinema applications.
Positioned firmly in the high-end luxury market, SIM2 commands respect among cinephiles, architects, and discerning home theater enthusiasts for pristine image quality, innovative performance, and striking industrial design. Far from mid-tier or vintage appeal, it occupies a niche as a boutique leader, delivering unparalleled visuals that prioritize quality over mass production.
