New, the Quadral Aurum 770 was roughly EUR 2,050 per pair, so EUR 620 used is a strong deal rather than merely fair. Comparable listings have appeared around EUR 450–900 per pair, placing this asking price toward the attractive end of the market.
The 770 is a serious three-way floorstander with a refined Aurum presentation: generous scale, clear treble, and enough authority for proper stereo listening without needing extreme amplification. At EUR 620, it is especially compelling if this is the complete pair in genuinely good condition. Check that both bass drivers and ribbon tweeters play cleanly, the surrounds are intact, and the cabinets, grilles, terminals, and spikes are included; otherwise, this looks like a buy rather than a negotiation exercise.

Quadral emerged from Hanover, Germany in 1972 as the consumer audio division of the All Group, initially operating under the name all-akustik before adopting the Quadral brand in the late 1970s. The company's international breakthrough came with the introduction of the TITAN loudspeaker in 1981, establishing Quadral as a serious contender in premium audio. Today, Quadral operates under the ownership of Loxone, acquired in 2020, which has positioned the brand at the intersection of high-fidelity audio and intelligent building automation.
Quadral has built its reputation primarily as a loudspeaker manufacturer, with particular acclaim for its ribbon tweeters and flagship Aurum series. The company's engineering approach emphasizes clarity, tonal balance, and sophisticated acoustic design—hallmarks that quickly elevated the brand to the upper echelon of the hi-fi world upon its launch. Production of key components, including the renowned Aurum ribbon tweeters, remains based in Hanover, underscoring the brand's commitment to German manufacturing standards.
Quadral occupies the high-end to upper-midrange segment of the consumer audio market, positioning itself alongside other respected German speaker specialists. The brand appeals to discerning listeners who prioritize acoustic performance and engineering heritage over mass-market accessibility. With over five decades of experience and a track record of consistent quality, Quadral maintains credibility among serious audiophiles and collectors, though it remains less widely recognized than some larger international competitors.
