When new, the McIntosh MA6200 was a premium integrated amplifier; at US$1,995, this example sits essentially on the current used-market median of US$1,973. That makes it a fair price rather than a bargain, but it is also well below the US$2,746 75th-percentile level, so the seller is not clearly overreaching.
The MA6200 remains desirable for its substantial build, authoritative power delivery, distinctive McIntosh presentation, and genuinely useful integrated design. It is a particularly attractive buy if the unit is clean, fully functional, and includes its remote and original meters, with documented servicing adding confidence. Because this price is around median rather than discounted, verify that the meters, controls, inputs, protection circuits, and phono section all work properly; a neglected example can quickly erase the value advantage.
