Our Thoughts RADAR AI

AirPods Pro remain one of the more convincing all-round true-wireless designs, combining strong noise cancellation, a natural-sounding presentation, and unusually seamless Apple-device integration. At €250, though, this is an ambitious ask: comparable used listings have a median of €93, with the 75th percentile at €138, so even excellent condition does not justify anything close to this level.

They are still worthwhile if the listing actually includes a recent, fully functional unit with the original case, multiple ear tips, and healthy battery life; spatial audio and excellent call performance add genuine everyday value. But at €250, the premium needs to buy something exceptional—essentially near-new condition with compelling provenance. Otherwise, patience should find a comparable example much closer to the €72–€138 range, leaving room to replace aging batteries or accessories later.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Apple

Apple Inc. traces its origins to April 1, 1976, when Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, along with Ronald Wayne, founded the company in the Jobs family garage in Cupertino, California. What began as a modest venture to build personal computers evolved into a tech powerhouse, with early forays into audio via the 2001 launch of iTunes and the iconic iPod portable music player.

In the hi-fi realm, Apple focuses on integrated consumer audio solutions rather than traditional separates like amplifiers, turntables, or DACs. The company is renowned for wireless speakers such as the short-lived iPod Hi-Fi (2006-2007) and the more advanced HomePod series, alongside premium headphones including AirPods and AirPods Max. These products emphasize seamless ecosystem integration, portability, and digital streaming over analog purism.

Apple holds a dominant position in the premium consumer audio market, blending high-end aspirations with mass-market accessibility. While not a staple among traditional hi-fi purists—who often critique its closed ecosystem and past efforts like the iPod Hi-Fi as underwhelming—its products command loyalty for sonic refinement, computational audio processing, and design excellence, positioning it as a mid-to-high-tier contender for savvy buyers prioritizing convenience over boutique esoterica.
