Excellent condition makes A$2,000 look fair to strong rather than cheap, but not a slam-dunk bargain. The Zen Mini Mk3 launched at around A$1,900–A$1,950 before extras when new, so a clean used unit at A$2,000 is roughly in the normal resale zone for a good-condition example with decent storage or options.
It’s a well-regarded little server because it does a lot in one box: music library storage, CD ripping, Roon Core/Endpoint duties, UPnP support, and a very audio-focused OS, with the streamer side aimed at cleaner playback than generic computers. For a buyer, the appeal is strong if it includes the original PSU, any SSD/HDD upgrades, and the drive bay is healthy; the main downside is that it’s an Ethernet-only design, so you want to be sure the network setup suits you.
