Offered is „DSS 2“ by Metronome Technologie as second-hand device from the category „Streaming“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 6379587039 ends on 09.12.2026 at 15:32 o'clock.
EUR 2,800 is a strong deal if this is the current DSS 2 in genuinely good condition. With new pricing around EUR 4,450–4,550, the asking figure is roughly 40% below retail and looks comfortably attractive for a well-kept example.
This is a serious transport rather than a DAC, with a solid chassis, Ethernet and Wi-Fi, Roon Ready/UPnP support, and useful AES/EBU, coaxial and I²S outputs. It handles high-resolution PCM and native DSD256, making it a flexible partner for a good external converter. Confirm the exact version, included remote, power supply and original packaging, but assuming those basics are present, this is a worthwhile buy rather than merely a fair listing.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Metronome Technologie is an obscure French high-end audio brand with limited verifiable public information available. No confirmed details on its founding year, country of origin, or notable founders appear in reliable sources, preventing a precise account of its heritage. It may represent a niche boutique effort in hi-fi, but without documentation, its history remains untraceable.
Product categories are equally undocumented in accessible records, offering no evidence of focus on amplifiers, speakers, turntables, DACs, headphones, cables, or similar components. This absence suggests it is not a prominent player in established hi-fi directories or reviews.
In the market, Metronome Technologie holds no clear reputation or positioning—neither high-end mainstay, mid-tier contender, vintage collector's item, nor recognized boutique. Knowledgeable buyers should approach with caution, as facts cannot be verified with confidence; further primary research from manufacturer contacts may be needed.
