Offered is „Super 20A“ by Kudos Audio as exhibit from the category „Standing Speaker“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 9955507108 ends on 09.12.2026 at 17:35 o'clock.
This is a fair ask, though not a bargain: €2,890 is just above the recent comparable median of €2,843 and slightly above the 75th-percentile figure of €2,867. The premium is small, so it remains sensible if the pair is genuinely clean and complete, but there is little room for condition-related surprises.
The C20 is a well-regarded, revealing floorstander, valued for agile, articulate bass, excellent transient response, spacious imaging, and an unusually easy 8-ohm load. Its 88dB sensitivity also makes amplifier matching straightforward, while the high-quality tweeter, drive unit, and crossover give it serious long-term appeal. At this price, confirm both original grilles, plinths, spikes, and terminals are intact, and check the cabinets carefully for veneer damage; otherwise, this looks like a sound enthusiast purchase rather than an obvious overpay.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Kudos Audio traces its roots to the late 1980s in England, when founders Derek Gilligan and Bob Surgeoner—previously of Neat Acoustics—acquired a company renowned for its innovative loudspeaker stands, particularly those paired with the Neat Petite. After their partnership ended, Gilligan retained the Kudos brand and launched its first speakers, the original Cardea models, in 2006. Hand-built in England by Gilligan, who has decades of experience in high-end loudspeaker design and live sound engineering, the brand embodies a heritage of meticulous craftsmanship and bold innovation.
The company focuses exclusively on high-performance loudspeakers, eschewing amplifiers, turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables. Kudos designs emphasize simplicity and precision, often incorporating unique bespoke components from European suppliers and unconventional elements like passive external crossovers. Every model, from the Titan series to the flagship Cardea, is engineered holistically for exceptional musicality and emotional impact.
Positioned as a niche boutique in the high-end market, Kudos Audio enjoys a growing reputation among discerning audiophiles for its rule-breaking approach and one-of-a-kind sound. Fast-rising in the UK hi-fi scene, it appeals to buyers seeking authentic, handcrafted originals that deliver profound listening experiences beyond conventional norms.
