Seller's Description

This McIntosh MC2102 tube power amplifier, serial TB1725, comes from my personal collection. I bought it new, used it very little, and have kept it carefully; it remains in excellent condition. Please look through the photos for the actual amplifier and its details. I have three MC2102 units listed separately; this listing is for the single TB1725 shown. Message me if you have questions or want to discuss pickup.

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

This is a fair ask, right at the market midpoint: the supplied five-listing sample puts the MC2102’s median and 25th-percentile asking prices at US$4,990, with the 75th percentile at US$6,000. At US$4,990, it is properly priced rather than a bargain, but certainly not ambitious.

The MC2102 remains a desirable modern McIntosh tube amplifier, offering 100 watts per channel, substantial KT88-driven headroom, selectable 2/4/8-ohm outputs, and both balanced and unbalanced inputs. Its natural, weighty presentation and ability to drive demanding speakers are the main appeal. Since it was manufactured from 2001–2011, confirm tube condition, service history, meter and transformer operation, and that the original cage and accessories are included; a healthy example at this price is a sensible buy.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About McIntosh

From powering President Lyndon Johnson's inauguration to the Grateful Dead's Wall of Sound at Woodstock, McIntosh has shaped pivotal moments in music history and pop culture, earning its place as a cultural icon.

The company specializes in a comprehensive lineup of high-fidelity components, including renowned amplifiers—particularly its revered tube models for their warm, enveloping sound—along with solid-state power amps, stereo tuners, loudspeakers, turntables, music streamers, processors, and digital-to-analog converters. This breadth supports both two-channel stereo systems and multi-channel home theaters, delivering immersive experiences in music and film. Iconic blue watt meters on their gear have become globally recognized symbols of precision and power.

Positioned firmly in the high-end market, McIntosh commands respect among discerning audiophiles for its uncompromising quality, luxurious build, and timeless design.
