Trinnov Altitude CI & Microphone

Trinnov Audio was founded in 2003 near Paris, France by Arnaud Laborie, Remy Bruno, and Sebastien Montoya, though the company's roots trace back to 2000 when its founders began fundamental research into immersive audio at IRCAM, one of the world's leading acoustics research facilities. The name itself derives from "Tri" and "Innovation," reflecting the company's focus on three-dimensional sound. Operating from France with global representation in 70 countries, Trinnov has established itself as a pioneer in spatial audio technology, backed by over 50 international patents developed through two decades of continuous innovation.

Trinnov specializes in audio processors and calibration systems rather than traditional consumer components like amplifiers or speakers. The company is renowned for its sophisticated room correction and optimization technology, particularly its proprietary four-element 3D calibration microphone and world-class loudspeaker/room optimizer. Their processors serve professional music and film studios for production and mixing, commercial cinema installations, and high-end residential home theater and stereo systems, positioning them uniquely across the entire audio production chain.

Trinnov occupies the premium end of the market, distinguished by its research-driven approach rather than assembly of off-the-shelf components. With over 12,000 high-performance installations worldwide, the brand commands respect among professional and audiophile communities alike, recognized as best-in-class by users and reviewers across professional, cinema, and high-end home audio sectors. Their reputation rests on genuine innovation in immersive audio and active acoustics rather than mass-market appeal, making them a reference standard for discerning listeners and professionals seeking cutting-edge spatial sound solutions.
