The ULTIMA 20 Mk2 is an unassuming but capable budget bookshelf speaker, and €100 is a genuine bargain. It sits below the recent comparable range’s €116 25th percentile and well under the €123 median, making this notably better than merely fair value—assuming the listing is for the pair.
Its appeal is straightforward: the large 165 mm mid/bass driver gives it punchy, room-filling bass, while the 25 mm tweeter delivers clear, lively detail. It is well suited to a small or medium room, with enough sensitivity and power handling for enjoyable levels without needing an exotic amplifier. At €100, a clean pair is worth moving quickly on; just confirm both speakers are included and test the drivers for clean, distortion-free output.

Teufel is a German audio brand with roots in Berlin, where it was founded in 1979 by Carl Teufel. Emerging during the heyday of home hi-fi enthusiasm, the company built its heritage on engineering-driven innovation, initially focusing on custom speaker designs that prioritized precision and dynamic sound reproduction for discerning listeners.
The brand excels in active speakers and soundbars, alongside wireless multi-room systems, headphones, and portable Bluetooth options. While not delving into amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, Teufel emphasizes integrated solutions with built-in amplification and app-controlled streaming, catering to modern home entertainment setups.
Positioned as a mid-tier contender with premium aspirations, Teufel enjoys a strong reputation in Europe for delivering high-value performance—bold bass, spacious imaging, and robust build quality—that punches above its price point. It appeals to knowledgeable buyers seeking reliable, stylish hi-fi without ultra-high-end excess, holding a solid niche in the competitive consumer audio market.
