At €750, this is far above the used-market norm and not a sensible buy unless the listing is genuinely new old stock with unusually strong warranty coverage. Comparable asking prices centre around €127, with the upper quartile at €260; €750 is nearly three times that upper benchmark, while the stated new price provides useful context but does not make this a used bargain.
The Ultima 40 Aktiv 3 is a capable, convenient active floorstander: convincing bass, good dialogue clarity, 260-watt amplification, and useful HDMI ARC, optical, Bluetooth aptX, USB-C, and analogue inputs. It needs no separate amplifier and suits TV, streaming, and energetic music particularly well. Check that both speakers, remote, speaker cable, grilles, and all original packaging are present, and confirm the warranty status; otherwise, patience should find the same model much closer to the market median.

Teufel is a German audio brand with roots in Berlin, where it was founded in 1979 by Carl Teufel. Emerging during the heyday of home hi-fi enthusiasm, the company built its heritage on engineering-driven innovation, initially focusing on custom speaker designs that prioritized precision and dynamic sound reproduction for discerning listeners.
The brand excels in active speakers and soundbars, alongside wireless multi-room systems, headphones, and portable Bluetooth options. While not delving into amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, Teufel emphasizes integrated solutions with built-in amplification and app-controlled streaming, catering to modern home entertainment setups.
Positioned as a mid-tier contender with premium aspirations, Teufel enjoys a strong reputation in Europe for delivering high-value performance—bold bass, spacious imaging, and robust build quality—that punches above its price point. It appeals to knowledgeable buyers seeking reliable, stylish hi-fi without ultra-high-end excess, holding a solid niche in the competitive consumer audio market.
