Offered is „Neumann NVF60/100 Vintage Power Amplifier Pair“ by Various / Other as second-hand device from the category „Tube-Poweramp“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 8372898206 ends on 13.12.2026 at 21:21 o'clock.
€9,000 is an extremely ambitious asking price: it is far beyond the comparable market, where recent listings show a median of €713, with the 75th percentile at €1,744.
The NVF60/100 pair may be interesting vintage Neumann professional hardware, but the title alone does not establish exact specification, provenance, restoration, or even suitability for domestic hi-fi. At this level, rarity and documented originality would need to be exceptional, with clear photographs, confirmed working condition, service history, and appropriate power/output arrangements. Without that evidence, this looks less like a buying opportunity than a price requiring substantial negotiation.

Neumann traces its origins to Berlin, Germany, where Georg Neumann and Erich Rickmann founded the company in 1928. Initially focused on pioneering condenser microphones, such as the groundbreaking CMV 3—nicknamed "The Bottle"—Neumann quickly established itself as an innovator amid the early days of professional audio. Despite wartime disruptions that split production and led to the creation of Microtech Gefell, Georg Neumann rebuilt in post-war Berlin, launching the iconic U 47 tube-condenser microphone, which solidified the brand's legacy in recording history.
The brand specializes in professional recording equipment, renowned for its high-end condenser microphones like the U 47, U 67, and U 87, which dominate studios worldwide. Beyond mics, Neumann produces studio monitors, headphones, preamplifiers, audio interfaces such as the recent MT 48, and historically excelled in cutting lathes for mastering. This pro-audio emphasis sets it apart from consumer hi-fi categories like amplifiers, turntables, or cables.
Neumann commands an elite position in the market as the gold standard for professional recording, embodying precision engineering and unmatched fidelity prized by engineers and producers. Its products grace legendary sessions, blending vintage reverence with modern reliability, making it essential for discerning hi-fi enthusiasts seeking studio-grade accuracy rather than mid-tier or boutique consumer gear.
