Offered is „Otello“ by Verity Audio as second-hand device from the category „Standing Speaker“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 7543482212 ends on 13.12.2026 at 18:21 o'clock.
This is a strong deal. At €7,990, the Otello sits below the €8,176 25th-percentile comparable and well under the €8,255 median from 27 recent asking prices—excellent value if the pair is complete and honestly described.
The Otello is a serious, high-efficiency three-way with a dual-isolated cabinet design, punchy extended bass, natural midrange, and unusually open, precise presentation. Its 93 dB sensitivity makes it easy to drive, while the nominal 8-ohm load offers broad amplifier compatibility, though sensible partnering still matters. For a well-kept pair, this is the sort of listing worth pursuing promptly: Verity’s build quality and relatively uncommon availability make a clean example at this level a genuine opportunity.

Verity Audio, a boutique high-end audio brand from Quebec City, Canada, was founded in 1995 by Julien Pelchat and Bruno Bouchard, who met while working at Oracle Audio. The duo launched their debut product, the Parsifal loudspeaker, in 1996, establishing a philosophy centered on eliminating listening fatigue through innovative design that prioritized musical engagement over analytical harshness. Nearly three decades of refinement followed, with the Parsifal evolving through multiple iterations while upholding the company's core tenets of smooth treble, transparent midrange, and authoritative bass.
The brand focused exclusively on loudspeakers, crafting floorstanding and monitor models like the Otello and later Parsifal variants, all hand-built in small batches by a team of just five to eight employees. Verity eschewed diversification into amplifiers, DACs, turntables, or cables, instead channeling expertise into drivers, enclosures, and crossover networks that delivered non-fatiguing, emotionally involving sound reproduction.
Positioned firmly in the high-end niche, Verity Audio earned acclaim among audiophiles for speakers that balanced detail with musicality, challenging industry norms without chasing trends. As a small, passionate operation, it cultivated a cult following before quietly ceasing operations around 2020, leaving a legacy of coveted, fatigue-free listening that endures among collectors and enthusiasts.
