New, the Teufel CINEBAR ULTIMA has sold around €450–€700, depending on version and retailer, so €250 used is a strong deal. It sits below the €257 25th-percentile comparable, well under the €272 median and €302 upper quartile. Assuming “good” condition means fully working and complete, this is bargain territory rather than merely fair value.
Its appeal is the big, room-filling presentation: 380 watts, an integrated subwoofer, clear dialogue, Bluetooth aptX, HDMI-ARC and 4K pass-through, with convincing virtual surround for conventional Dolby/DTS material. It is particularly good for TV, films and punchy music without needing a separate subwoofer. It is not a modern Atmos or Wi-Fi smart bar, but at €250 that is an easy trade-off; check the remote, power cable, grille condition and HDMI operation before buying.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Teufel is a German audio brand with roots in Berlin, where it was founded in 1979 by Carl Teufel. Emerging during the heyday of home hi-fi enthusiasm, the company built its heritage on engineering-driven innovation, initially focusing on custom speaker designs that prioritized precision and dynamic sound reproduction for discerning listeners.
The brand excels in active speakers and soundbars, alongside wireless multi-room systems, headphones, and portable Bluetooth options. While not delving into amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, Teufel emphasizes integrated solutions with built-in amplification and app-controlled streaming, catering to modern home entertainment setups.
Positioned as a mid-tier contender with premium aspirations, Teufel enjoys a strong reputation in Europe for delivering high-value performance—bold bass, spacious imaging, and robust build quality—that punches above its price point. It appeals to knowledgeable buyers seeking reliable, stylish hi-fi without ultra-high-end excess, holding a solid niche in the competitive consumer audio market.
