Recent comparable listings put this Loewe Klang set at a median of €140, with the upper quartile at €251; at €850, the asking price is therefore exceptionally ambitious and far beyond normal used-market territory. Unless this is a substantially larger, complete Loewe system rather than the compact Klang subwoofer alone, the price is difficult to justify.
The Klang subwoofer is a neat, well-finished solution for compatible Loewe televisions, offering punchy bass, compact placement, wireless convenience and roughly 160 watts of amplification. It makes sense as a tidy lifestyle upgrade, especially with the correct transmitter, remote and matching components included. Even in excellent condition, though, €850 would require genuine rarity or a complete, highly desirable system with impeccable provenance; verify the exact model, all accessories and compatibility before considering it.

Loewe was founded in Berlin in 1923 by Siegmund and David Ludwig Loewe, and it belongs among the older names in German consumer electronics. Its early history is tied to radio and television development, and the brand later established its manufacturing and design base in Kronach, Bavaria, where it has long emphasized “Made in Germany” production and in-house engineering.
For today’s market, Loewe is best known for premium televisions, home-cinema systems, soundbars, and related audio components rather than a broad hi-fi catalog. It is not typically a maker of separate amplifiers, turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables in the way specialist audio brands are. The company’s audio presence is usually integrated into its AV ecosystem, with an emphasis on design-led, high-performance living-room products.
In market position, Loewe sits in the upscale to luxury end of the consumer AV segment. Its appeal is strongest among buyers who value craftsmanship, minimalist industrial design, and a distinctly German premium image alongside strong picture and sound quality. It is less of a vintage-collector audio name than a contemporary high-end lifestyle AV brand, with its reputation built on television heritage and polished, design-forward home entertainment.
