Hi,
LG Luca

At €280, the obvious alternative is another aging compact home-theater subwoofer—but this Bose Lifestyle 2 is the far better buy. It sits below your comparable listings’ €302 25th percentile, making it a genuine bargain rather than merely a fair price; the €947 median and €1,472 75th percentile reinforce how attractively it is positioned.
The appeal is its purpose-built integration: a Lifestyle subwoofer delivers deep, room-filling bass in a compact system and matches the original Bose electronics without the guesswork of mixing components. Excellent condition adds meaningful upside at this money, especially if the correct connection cable and power lead are included. Confirm that it powers up cleanly and works with the intended Lifestyle control unit, but there is no material price concern here. If complete and functional, this is a strong enthusiast buy.

Bose Corporation traces its roots to 1964, when MIT professor Amar Gopal Bose founded the company in Natick, Massachusetts, after growing disillusioned with the poor performance of a high-end stereo system he purchased as a graduate student. Driven by a passion for replicating the immersive qualities of live music through rigorous acoustic research, Bose launched the venture with initial contracts for the U.S. military and NASA, emphasizing innovative speaker designs that prioritized indirect, reverberant sound over direct radiation. This American heritage, rooted in psychoacoustics and engineering excellence, has defined the brand's pursuit of "Better Sound Through Research."
Bose excels in consumer and professional audio categories, renowned for its home audio systems, premium speakers like the iconic 901 Series, and pioneering noise-canceling headphones first prototyped in the 1980s for pilots. The lineup extends to vehicle sound systems, portable Bluetooth speakers, and professional installations, but steers clear of niche hi-fi components such as amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, focusing instead on integrated, user-friendly solutions that blend advanced signal processing with spatial audio reproduction.
Positioned as a premium mid-tier powerhouse in the global market, Bose commands widespread appeal among discerning buyers seeking accessible high-performance audio without audiophile esoterica. Its reputation for innovation and reliability has built a loyal following, though purists occasionally critique its measured sound signature, cementing Bose as a dominant force in mainstream hi-fi rather than high-end boutique or vintage realms.
