Offered is „Gamut D200 MkII Stereo Power Amplifier - Danish High-End“ by Gamut as second-hand device from the category „Transistor-Poweramp“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 8869691924 ends on 18.12.2026 at 13:18 o'clock.
The timing matters: the D200 Mk II is an older, discontinued-generation design, but that has not erased its appeal. At €2,000, it looks like a strong buy rather than merely fair value; recent comparable listings cluster around €2,150, with some lower examples near €1,800 and higher asks around €2,600. It is sensibly positioned in the market, especially if the condition is genuinely good.
The attraction is the unusual combination of single-MOSFET smoothness and serious drive: roughly 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms, with ample current for demanding speakers. It is known for sounding powerful yet refined rather than sterile, and balanced and unbalanced inputs add useful system flexibility. Check service history, long-term stability, and whether the original packaging or manual is included, but there is no obvious pricing red flag here. At €2,000, this is a credible buying opportunity for someone who wants substantial, characterful solid-state power.

GamuT, a Danish high-end audio brand, traces its origins to the early 1990s when it was founded by Ole Christiansen, a visionary engineer passionate about musical authenticity. Based in Denmark, the company quickly earned acclaim for its "Organic Dynamic Alive" philosophy, emphasizing natural sound reproduction over artificial enhancements. In recent years, GamuT transitioned ownership first to Rossing Nielsen Electronics—another Danish firm where Christiansen continued contributing—before Dantax A/S, parent of brands like Raidho and Scansonic, acquired all rights, integrating it into a prestigious family of audio specialists.
The brand specializes in premium electronics and loudspeakers, with a core focus on power amplifiers, preamplifiers, integrated amps, and high-performance speakers that deliver exceptional dynamics and tonal purity. Standouts include their reference-level amplification lines and floorstanding loudspeakers, designed for seamless synergy in complete systems. While not delving into turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables, GamuT's offerings prioritize full-range music systems for discerning listeners.
Positioned firmly in the high-end market, GamuT commands respect among audiophiles for its boutique craftsmanship and uncompromised sound quality, often compared to elite Danish contemporaries. Under Dantax, it sustains its niche as a collector's choice for those seeking emotional, lifelike playback, free from business instability rumors.
