The ROCKSTER originally sold for around €1,200, so €1,600 used is clearly ambitious. Your comparable listings put the median at €715, with even the 75th percentile only €806; this is roughly double the typical asking price and difficult to justify unless it is actually new-old-stock or includes unusually valuable extras.
It remains a capable, distinctive party speaker: the 440-watt amplification, large 380 mm woofer, horn tweeter, integrated two-channel mixer, microphone/instrument inputs, Bluetooth, and mains, car-battery, or rechargeable operation make it far more versatile than a conventional portable speaker. In excellent condition it can be a great event machine, but at this price the buyer should negotiate heavily and verify battery health, charging, all inputs, wheels, and included accessories.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Teufel is a German audio brand with roots in Berlin, where it was founded in 1979 by Carl Teufel. Emerging during the heyday of home hi-fi enthusiasm, the company built its heritage on engineering-driven innovation, initially focusing on custom speaker designs that prioritized precision and dynamic sound reproduction for discerning listeners.
The brand excels in active speakers and soundbars, alongside wireless multi-room systems, headphones, and portable Bluetooth options. While not delving into amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, Teufel emphasizes integrated solutions with built-in amplification and app-controlled streaming, catering to modern home entertainment setups.
Positioned as a mid-tier contender with premium aspirations, Teufel enjoys a strong reputation in Europe for delivering high-value performance—bold bass, spacious imaging, and robust build quality—that punches above its price point. It appeals to knowledgeable buyers seeking reliable, stylish hi-fi without ultra-high-end excess, holding a solid niche in the competitive consumer audio market.
