Offered is „GURU Vorstufe mit Phono und Röhren – Netzteil – für PHONOFANS !!“ by Tube Technology as second-hand device from the category „Pre-Amplifier / Processor“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 471862184 ends on 19.12.2026 at 09:38 o'clock.
In good condition, €2,200 is an ambitious ask rather than a bargain: it sits well above the six-listing median of €1,497 and also clears the €1,867 75th percentile. That premium needs to be justified by unusually clean, serviced condition, complete original tubes and the separate power supply; otherwise, negotiation toward the high-€1,000s looks sensible.
The GURU is a serious, hand-built valve preamplifier with a particularly appealing full-function design: switchable MM/MC phono, line-level flexibility, balanced connections and a separate supply. Its Telefunken-equipped, point-to-point construction and rarity give it genuine enthusiast appeal, while the strong phono section makes it more than a conventional line stage. At this price, verify low-noise operation, channel balance, tube condition and that the dedicated power supply and correct interconnects are included.

Pro Audio Technology, known as PRO, traces its origins to 2004 when founder Paul Hales, a veteran of QSC Audio, established Professional Home Cinema, LLC in the United States. Hales aimed to bring genuine professional-grade audio into residential spaces, revolutionizing surround sound with loudspeakers and DSP amplifiers designed for high-end home theaters. In 2010, the company rebranded to Pro Audio Technology to align with its evolving strategic vision, while retaining its core focus on installed systems.
The brand specializes in professional-style loudspeakers and DSP amplifiers/processors tailored for residential custom installations. These components emphasize scalability, precision, and integration, often forming complete systems for immersive audio. PRO later expanded through its sister company, Theory Audio Design, adapting PRO technology for broader home audio applications without venturing into consumer categories like headphones, turntables, DACs, or cables.
PRO holds a niche boutique position in the high-end market, favored by A-list celebrities from the movie and music industries, sports figures, and global leaders for their private screening rooms. Its reputation rests on delivering pro-audio performance in domestic settings, prioritizing reliability and sound quality over mass-market appeal, making it a discreet choice for discerning buyers seeking uncompromising installed systems.
