This is a buyer’s market for premium soundbars, and €425 is a strong deal here: it sits well below the €454 median and comfortably under the €335–€602 middle-market range, though not quite at bargain territory below the 25th percentile. For excellent condition, the price looks properly attractive rather than merely fair.
The 900 remains a capable one-box upgrade, with clear dialogue, a broad presentation, Dolby Atmos, ADAPTiQ room calibration, and useful Wi‑Fi, AirPlay 2, Chromecast, and Bluetooth connectivity. It is especially appealing for a clean living-room installation and can later grow with Bose’s subwoofer or surround speakers. The main limitation is that bass is modest without the optional sub, and DTS formats are unsupported. Confirm the remote, power cable, ADAPTiQ headset, HDMI connection, and flawless app/network setup before buying; otherwise, this is an easy listing to take seriously.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Bose Corporation traces its roots to 1964, when MIT professor Amar Gopal Bose founded the company in Natick, Massachusetts, after growing disillusioned with the poor performance of a high-end stereo system he purchased as a graduate student. Driven by a passion for replicating the immersive qualities of live music through rigorous acoustic research, Bose launched the venture with initial contracts for the U.S. military and NASA, emphasizing innovative speaker designs that prioritized indirect, reverberant sound over direct radiation. This American heritage, rooted in psychoacoustics and engineering excellence, has defined the brand's pursuit of "Better Sound Through Research."
Bose excels in consumer and professional audio categories, renowned for its home audio systems, premium speakers like the iconic 901 Series, and pioneering noise-canceling headphones first prototyped in the 1980s for pilots. The lineup extends to vehicle sound systems, portable Bluetooth speakers, and professional installations, but steers clear of niche hi-fi components such as amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, focusing instead on integrated, user-friendly solutions that blend advanced signal processing with spatial audio reproduction.
Positioned as a premium mid-tier powerhouse in the global market, Bose commands widespread appeal among discerning buyers seeking accessible high-performance audio without audiophile esoterica. Its reputation for innovation and reliability has built a loyal following, though purists occasionally critique its measured sound signature, cementing Bose as a dominant force in mainstream hi-fi rather than high-end boutique or vintage realms.
