At €180, this is exactly at the median of the seven comparable used listings, so the price is fair rather than a standout bargain. It is well below the €397 75th-percentile figure, but not close enough to the €76 lower quartile to call it exceptional value; condition, termination quality, and completeness will decide whether it earns the asking price.
The appeal is the generous 2×7.5 m length, silver-plated nuCable construction, and properly fitted BFA banana connectors—useful for wide equipment layouts and a tidy, secure connection. In-akustik’s BFA plugs use screw contacts, gold-plated contact surfaces, and support substantial cable cross-sections, making them practical rather than merely decorative. Check that all eight plugs are tight, clean, and correctly fitted, and confirm the cable has no kinks or repaired sections.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
In-akustik traces its roots to 1977, when hi-fi enthusiasts Ilse and Günther Sumser founded the company in Ballrechten-Dottingen, a village in Germany's Black Forest region near Freiburg. Driven by a passion for authentic music reproduction, they recognized that superior device connections were essential for optimal playback, leveraging expertise from the related Braunkabel firm, which had been producing cables since 1972. This German heritage underscores a commitment to precision engineering in the heart of the country's renowned manufacturing landscape.
The brand specializes in high-end and hi-fi audio and video cables, designing intricate architectures that minimize signal loss and deliver pure sound. Beyond cables, in-akustik operates its own music label and distributes select premium brands like Audiovector speakers and Primare electronics in key markets, forming a curated ecosystem for audiophiles. Their in-house production facility ensures meticulous quality control, from raw materials to final assembly.
Positioned as a leading mid-to-high-end supplier, in-akustik earns acclaim for uncompromising German craftsmanship and "Made in Germany" reliability, appealing to discerning buyers worldwide who prioritize low-loss transmission and authentic listening pleasure. With over 22,000 products and global partnerships, it stands as a trusted name in the hi-fi market, blending tradition with innovation for serious enthusiasts.
