Offered is „Passion AMP650 Power Stereo Endstufe“ by YBA as second-hand device from the category „Power Amplifier“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 6218518965 ends on 20.12.2026 at 15:36 o'clock.
The YBA AMP650 is a notably muscular, high-end power amplifier, and at €3,400 this is a strong deal rather than merely fair. It sits below the supplied 25th-percentile comparable price of €3,462, well under the €3,499 median, and comfortably below the €4,107 upper quartile.
Its appeal is serious drive and control: 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms, 400 into 4 ohms, with 600 watts available in bridged mono. The substantial linear supply and 25 kg chassis suit demanding speakers, while its character is generally described as warm, detailed, dynamic, and composed rather than clinical. In good condition, this looks like a worthwhile buying opportunity; confirm that both channels are quiet and stable, and check that the balanced/RCA inputs and speaker terminals are intact.

Founded in 1981 by Yves Bernard André, an electronics professor, YBA emerged from France as a beacon of passionate hi-fi innovation. André's designs embodied a quintessentially French flair—quirky yet brilliant—prioritizing simplicity, durability, and unadulterated musicality that captivated journalists and audiophiles alike. This heritage of precision and purity propelled the brand through decades of acclaim, earning international awards while steadfastly pursuing the ideal of sound so transparent it fades into the music itself.
YBA specializes in high-end electronics, with a core focus on amplifiers, preamplifiers, integrated amps, CD players, DACs, phono stages, and streaming devices across ranges like Design, Heritage, Passion, Signature, and Genesis. Custom French-made components such as connectors, transformers, cables, resistors, and solder underscore their commitment to reliability. While not delving into speakers, turntables, or headphones, their catalog emphasizes amplification and digital sources that deliver clarity and extraordinary musical engagement.
Positioned firmly in the high-end market, YBA blends boutique French design ethos with robust manufacturing scale, following Shanling's 2009 acquisition that preserved André's involvement and relaunched the brand internationally in 2012. Today, products remain "Designed in France, made with Passion," commanding respect among discerning buyers for their aesthetic appeal and sonic refinement, though production largely occurs in China. This evolution secures YBA's enduring niche as a sought-after name in premium hi-fi.
