Offered is „Cayin A-88T MK2 Selection ab WERK modifiziert. Besondere Röhren“ by Cayin as second-hand device from the category „Tube-Fullamp“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 3542009954 ends on 20.12.2026 at 15:15 o'clock.
Are you looking at a clean, complete example with healthy tubes? At EUR 1,790, this looks like a fair-to-good buy rather than an obvious bargain. Used examples appear around EUR 980 at the low end, while a 20th Anniversary example was listed at EUR 3,300, so condition, version, tube complement, and provenance matter greatly. For a standard MK2 in genuinely good condition, the asking price is defensible, though not irresistibly cheap.
The appeal is substantial: this is a serious push-pull valve integrated, offering roughly 25 watts per channel in triode or 45 watts in ultralinear, with KT88s, 4/8-ohm taps, external biasing, and the musical, spacious presentation Cayin’s better tube amplifiers are known for. It is especially attractive with reasonably sensitive speakers. Before buying, verify quiet transformers, stable bias, working mode switches, an intact remote, and the actual age and brand of the output tubes; a full replacement set can materially change the economics.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Cayin Audio traces its roots to 1993, when Zhuhai Spark Electronic Equipment Co., Ltd. was established in Zhuhai, China. From the outset, the company focused on crafting audiophile-grade components under the Cayin brand, blending Eastern precision with a passion for musical fidelity. Over three decades, it has evolved from traditional hi-fi roots into a multifaceted player, emphasizing equipment that delivers exceptional sound across diverse price points to democratize high-quality audio.
The brand excels in a broad spectrum of categories, with its vacuum tube amplifiers standing out as flagship offerings renowned for warmth and detail. Its portfolio extends to CD players, speakers, digital audio players (DAPs), desktop systems like the i-series, portable amplifiers, in-ear monitors, and even innovative DACs such as the compact RU2 dongle.
